As reported by BBC si , Rodrigo Garcia Pinochet became a congressman from a wealthy district of Santiago, where voters have traditionally supported the right candidates. However, the grandson of the dictator was forced to participate in elections as an independent candidate, after all the fundamental rights of the party denied him their support.

Addressing his supporters, Pinochet H. stated that his victory means that the Chilean Congress will again Pinochet.
