Among the signatories appeal, published in four European newspapers – the former Czech president Vaclav Havel, MEP Daniel Cohn-Bendit and the French philosophers Andre Glucksmann and Bernard-Henri Levy. They called upon the Governments of the 27 EU countries to define the strategy of assistance for the peaceful restoration of Georgia's territorial integrity.
