MOSCOW, March 31 – RIA Novosti. The government of North Korea on Tuesday declared an intention to judge the two American journalists who were detained at the border with China , reported Agence France Presse.

Two American journalist of Asian origin were arrested March 17 in the video in the area of the Tumen River, presumably, the DPRK border guards. The authorities of the DPRK on 21 March confirmed the fact of their detention.

According to Agence France-Presse, the women shot the video of North Korea while the Chinese side of the border. The North Korean military crossed the border and arrested the journalists after they ignored demands to stop filming.

Illegal entry of reporters at the DPRK and the United States suspected of hostile acts have been confirmed by the evidence and their statements, – quotes the statement the DPRK authorities, central Korean News Agency (KCNA).

According to KCNA, competent authority is prepared for presentation journalist judicial prosecution.

According to South Korean news Renhap, in the hands of the authorities of the DPRK were Chinawoman Laura Lin (Laura Ling) and Korean Yong Lee (Euna Lee), who allegedly had American citizenship. They worked for an independent cable Karrent TV (Current TV), created with the participation of former U.S. Vice President Albert Gore. U.S. State Department expressed concern over the fate of journalists.
