The Thai government has started to help pay checks worth bat 2000 (55 dollars or 42 euros) to more than ten million workers , to revive the economy weighed down by the economic crisis .

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva , who has delivered the first check on a social security office in Bangkok, said that this action will help mitigate the effects of recession, for whom the country.

Many malls have launched special offers for holders of the checks, which meant an investment of 21,000 million bat (585 million dollars or 446 million euros).

This is a part of a package of measures to combat the crisis announced in January by Vejjajiva, whose total amount is EUR 117,000 million bat (2.488 million euros, or 3.266 million dollars).
